Foundations For Ministry Program - Kreyòl Program, Fall 2010
The Foundations for Ministry Program is a ten week course designed for:
- Persons discerning application to the Pastoral Institute’s 3-year Lay Ministry Program
- Parish Pastoral Council members and persons responsible for implementing Parish Pastoral Plan goals and objectives
- Persons already involved in parish ministry seeking a theological update
The ten sessions consist of:
Week 1: Theology as a Field of Study (September 29)
Week 2: Emerging Role of the Laity (October 6)
Week 3: Structure and Mission of the Church (October 13)
Week 4: Jesus: His Message, His Ministry (October 20)
Week 5: Introduction to Sacred Scripture (October 27)
Week 6: A People of Prayer (November 3)
Week 7: Introduction to Liturgy (November 10)
Week 8: A People of Action/Morality (November 17)
Week 9: One Church/Many Faces (December 1)
Week 10: Theological Reflection (December 15)

PILGRIMAGE: Mexico for the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe
December 12th – for $ 1699.00. We depart New York (JFK) or Miami International Airport in Florida for 8 days of pilgrimage (December 9th to the 16th, 2010). We will visit Mexico City and participate in the feast celebration. We will also visit: The Pyramids, Chapultepec Parc, Xochimilco, etc….. In route to Guadalajara we will stop in Tepoztlan, Queretaro, Guanajuato, Christo Rey San Miguel de Allende. Etc….

We will have the opportunities to visit and explore many wonderful and exciting places in Santo Domingo, spend some time in “a batey” with the Daughters of Mary and still have time to relax on the beach at the resort hotel.
