On January 12, 2010 in less
than 45 seconds natural disaster hit and the entire
world turned its eyes on Haiti.
Our hearts and prayers are with all who lost loved ones.
Haitian people are grateful to God for the immediate
call to action he made and so many people have
responded. The emergency relief effort of all those
countries is greatly appreciated.
We give thanks to God because the world could see a
great people full of resilience and faith. The people
being pulled out from the debris are reminiscent of the
three men in the Book of Daniel who were thrown in the
furnace. Because of the deep faith they had in the
Father, they feared not the heat of the furnace. They
came out rejoicing. It was incredible to see people
being pulled out alive after so many days under the
rubble. More uplifting was the joy and the words of
faith from the survivors.
It is time for those of us abroad to come together to
help in the reconstruction of our beloved country and
the rebuilding of the lives of those who lost so much.
